Trevor Wine

Trevor Wine started his fishing career on the small streams of Maryland and West Virginia. He worked for several years at an outdoor store in Maryland before deciding to move out West. His retail experience and love for fly fishing landed him a job at the Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters. That where we met and eventually became roommates. During Trevor's first season at the fishing shop, He soon earned the nick name T-Bone, for his zany antics. One day John Copeland and myself decided to take T-Bone for a little trip to one of our favorite spots on the Carson River. John went up stream, I went down stream, and when Trevor said i'm just going to stay here and fish the first hole at the end of the trail we both laughed. When i returned to brag about all the fish i caught down stream, I noticed Trevor's rod was very bent. I them proceeded to watch him land a 26 inch brown on a small stimulator, on 6X tippet, on a 3wt rod. It turned out to be the biggest brown i have ever seen landed in over 20 years of fishing the East Carson River. That's when John and I realized Trevor was the Real Deal. Since that fateful day, Trevor has evolved into one of the best guides in the South Tahoe Area. He is a great guy, and always has something funny to say. He also writes a truthful and funny column in the local Mountain News newspaper, here in South Lake Tahoe. You can book Trevor for a fun day on the water directly through the Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters. Also check out his on screen antics in both FISHEYE1, and FISHEYE 2.

“It was one of those days you hoped would never end. Just you and your buddy, no one else around, and trout on every cast. I don’t know how many fish we caught that day, or even landed, but one thing is for sure……….it will be the day that all successful fishing days are measured against from now on.”
